In a bid to better serve artistes and record labels, VerseOne Distribution has gone into a direct partnership with SoundExchange, an organization that collects and distributes digital performance royalties on behalf of more than 199,000 recording artists’ and master rights owners. This alliance will allow VerseOne Distribution to directly collect digital performance royalties on behalf of its client artistes and record labels from sources such as non-interactive webcasts, satellite and digital cable TV, and satellite radio services etc. We can now identify and claim previously unclaimed digital performance royalties and thereby claim the label share of the royalties and distribute same to independent artistes. Furthermore, artists can now opt into this program on our platform. This is just one of a range of new updates VerseOne Distribution will lunch in the first quarter of 2020.
