What Is An EIN?

An employer identification number (EIN) is a nine-digit number assigned by the IRS. It is used to identify the tax accounts of employers and certain others who have no employees. The IRS uses the number to identify taxpayers who are required to file various business tax returns.

An EIN can be obtained by a USA citizen as well as an individual abroad.

Every USA record label or artist would need either EIN or a Social Security written on a W9 form in order to work with us and receive royalties. International individuals can have an EIN that would go on the W8-BEN form which is an equivalent to the W9 form mentioned.
